Headed east today…did parts of the Points East Drive.

Started at Point Prim Lighthouse and Chowder House. It was nice because I had reserved but didn’t know if we’d need to do take out on the picnic tables, but they have a few full service tables for people with dogs off to the on the patio. From there, headed to Cooper Bottom Brewery in the town of Montague. Saw Canada’s smallest library in Cardigan on the way to Basin Head Beach. Unfortunately the sand didn’t sing today at the beach 😦 Saw the nearby East Point Lighthouse, the Confederation lighthouse (built in 1867 and the only one still operational). We decided not to stop at the Greenwich Dunes Trail on the way back as everyone, including little Nala, was tired and not up for the 4.5 km hike (maybe another time!)

The oldest light house on the island from 1845
Having the hostess bring her a bowl of water makes it really tastes apparently
Point Prim Chowder House…the take out seats were the yellow umbrellas in front, but we sat at the back
Nala again loved her bowl of water at Copper Bottom Brewery that one of the servers brought her

From looking in the windows, it seemed you just logged the skew number by hand in a book
Sadly the sand didn’t sing today 😦
The two sides of the Basin Head beach…people jump/flip off both sides of the dock and the bridge connecting them, and float from the close part of the dock to the open water (moves like a lazy river…though the beach has warnings posted about the tides and jumping off the bridge)
The Confederation lighthouse from 1867 and the only operational one still
This is a camper slowly backing up down the highway to find somewhere to turn…we did too many other after

May head a few minutes down the road from the motel to the P.E.I. Preserve Co. for dinner. Went there last time we came but wanted to check it out again!

Update: Hit a bad accident that had just happened and shut down the road. After waiting an hour and realizing we weren’t getting through, asked a local at a gas station the best way around and, with GPS, found the way (he was going to lead us down a bunch of dirt roads and try to find a way around, but we thought we’d try the other way!!)
