Heading to Halifax today…our last stop before heading home!

Went to Fishermen’s Cove on the way to Halifax. It’s on the Dartmouth side. Last time we came for lunch on a tour here, but we couldn’t remember where the exact restaurant was.

The Marriott here has a fairly late check-in at 4 pm, so dad’s just washing the clothes at a laundromat while we wait to check in.

Had dinner on the patio at Salty’s right near our hotel. We watched the ferry go to Dartmouth and back for an hour. Then we got Nala and walked her down the boardwalk. It kinda snakes in and order of various buildings and patios and was really busy with food trucks and different things, but Nala seemed to like it. Every time with go bear another dog we cover her eyes and I guess there were so many smells she didn’t notice. Mom went to the nearby Lululemon and got one of those skirts with the shorts underneath.

Tomorrow we’re going out to George’s Island on a short ferry ride. It’s newly opened since the last time we were here. It was an important part of the defence of the Halifax harbour. They have a short tour of the underground tunnels on it. The only bad thing is it’s suppose to rain but we’ve been lucky with the weather so far.
