Last day in the Maritimes! Rainy again which was a bit annoying. We started at the Oak Island Resort to take the Salty Dogs boat tour around the island (this year they’re not doing tours of the island…apparently when they are the tickets sell in like 3 minutes). The boat company is owned by Tony Sampson, who appears on the show from time to time as a diver:

The tour was good, even in the rain. We had two skippers tell tales about the island for 1.5 hours, and they take you around the whole island to show you where the various parts of the show are. It was just hard to take pictures because they had the canopy up on the boat because of the rain so there’s a net/foggy plastic in front of you at every angle. People stay at the resort there and have a view of the island (the cast apparently used to but people would harass them for pictures).
After the tour we grabbed Nala and headed to our last stop, Peggy’s Cove. It was still rainy but we ate take out from their restaurant and looked in their store, and by that time the rain was finally slowing down. After viewing the lighthouse (they have made a new viewing platform since we went before, so you don’t have to walk on the slippery rocks), we made a quick stop at the Swiss Air Memorial then headed back.
Mom wanted to check out the Rum Runner store on the waterfront in Halifax, so we just walked down again.
Heading back to Quebec tomorrow!
